For the first time in three weeks, rates take a dip. Here's the latest on mortgage rates:

• As of June 8, 2023, the average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage was 6.71 percent, a decrease from the previous week's average of 6.79 percent. 

• The average rate for a 15-year fixed-rate mortgage was 6.07 percent, down from the previous week's average of 6.18 percent.
