Continued Decline: Mortgage Rates Hit Fifth Straight Week of Decrease

Great news on the mortgage front! Rates are still on the decline for the fifth consecutive week. According to Freddie Mac's latest data released today, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage has dropped to an average of 7.22% this week, down from 7.29% last week. 

Freddie Mac's chief economist, Sam Khater, mentioned, 'There's been a notable change in market sentiment over the past month, contributing to this ongoing decrease in mortgage rates.'
